Why do I bother to do this when there are blogs ad infinitum out there doing the same thing?
I like to write, and anime provides me with a tremendous well of source material to write with. Rather than recounting my feelings about this or that episode as the other 213131 bloggers out there, I prefer to take out concepts highlighted within an anime and analyze them, a form of “thinking-through-writing”. I like to think that this form of deeper thinking will deepen appreciation of the anime and the role scriptwriters play into differentiating anime from other more trivial medium.
In addition, this blog also serves as my personal diary, although much of the stuff is still in its infancy. As I gain experience, I will probably branch out into new and different fields.
